To select multiple notes in a Melody or Percussion Window, choose the Arrow Tool, then click and drag a square around the desired notes. If the click-drag action begins in the window, then this operation may be completed in a single stage. If the click-drag action begins on the background canvas, then it may be necessary to first select the window (Motive or Sketch) containing the desired notes. Then, with the window selected, begin the click-drag to select the desired group of notes. This may be a useful technique for selecting the entire contents of a motive.
It is also possible to select a number of specific elements (notes or strokes) from a complex texture by using the Arrow Tool and Shift-clicking on the required elements. Selected material may then be moved, cut, copied or pasted between windows.
