Classical Mode adds a further
level of harmonic organization to the piece. If Classical Mode
is checked, notes in your piece will be altered to fit the
current chord (by default C Major).
The durations of notes in the melody are not affected,
and the inner melodic contours of the motives are approximately maintained.
Notes of one sixteenth duration are unaffected by the Harmony Line.
While Classical Mode considerably reduces the level
of dissonance in a piece, its effect can become less interesting after a time.
In order to remedy this, a high degree of harmonic control and interest may
be attained by manipulating the Harmony
Line.
