To make a piece of music in Hyperscore, use the colored pens to draw lines in the Sketch Window. Each line or stroke you draw will sound the music that is contained in the motive of the same color.

To do this, first select the Pen Tool, then select the color that matches the color of the motive you want to use from the Color Palette at the top of the main window.

Move the mouse over the Sketch Window. The cursor will turn into a pen and you can draw a line of the color you have selected into the Sketch Window.

To draw a straight horizontal line in the Sketch Window, press Shift and then draw using the Pen Tool.
